Found in 2022 by James Rivelli and Troy Coady, our values and mission have always been the same. We are dedicated to working towards helping end childhood hunger one meal at a time. The original idea started when James wanted to write a children's book for his kids based on their fun bedtime stories. What started as a small project turned into a large scale endeavor. It was quickly determined a self-published, print-on-demand option was best. With self-publishing came the opportunity for everyone to buy and read his book, which was full of personal stories he told his kids. He felt like there was an opportunity to use the proceeds from the book to do something impactful. After searching and reaching out to several charities, he wasn't satisfied overall with their inefficient spending and overall corporate attitudes. From there, the idea was born to form his own charity, focused solely on using all of the money received on the mission at hand.  

Realizing this would be a large undertaking for just himself, he contacted his lifelong childhood friend, Troy Coady. Troy was immediately interested and the two got to work. Never Hungry Northwest was born! A third original board member, Jenny Villalobos, was also added to help bring the idea to life.
